EE96.203 Mediasite Lecture Capture w/ backup
The College of Engineering is committed to providing our faculty and students with as many technological skills as possible. Not only will this boost the students’ confidence, it will expose them to the type of equipment they will be expected to operate beyond the classroom. This proposal will provide the faculty with the necessary equipment to better prepare the students while simultaneously positioning the students for success in their chosen field(s). Additionally, this equipment is needed to maintain FAU’s ABET accreditation which takes into account equipment relevance.
Specifically, install a Mediasite Lecture Capture System with a backup recorder and software conferencing capability. This system will expand the functionality of the Engineering East Classrooms & Labs by allowing the capture of lectures held during Labs. This system will be integrated into the FAU Medisite via Canvas for students to access.
These are the same systems as in Fleming and the Computer Center, however EE96 has Electronic Lab Equipment for use during the lecture. Please see the attached photos.

Installation will be supervised and then supported by FAU’s AV, OIT departments.

Hardware Requirements
To provide a Mediasite Lecture Capture w/ backup recorder, bridge videoconferencing capability (VTC), and software conferencing capability.
The hardware has been specified by the AV / OIT department to ensure compatibility with the university's current online system.
