Narrative
Student Accessibility Services administers accommodated testing services for students with a wide range of disabilities. The computers in this area utilize assistive technology including screen readers, screen magnifiers, speech recognition software and other software that provides accessibility for test taking. Due to a steady increase of online testing over recent years the testing area has needed to expand, resulting in the need for converting additional rooms for testing use. SAS is requesting the purchase of additional computers to continue to keep up with expansion of this essential service for students with disabilities. We are requesting 8 Dell Optiplex 7450 computers for our Boca Campus SAS testing center and 2 Dell Optiplex 7450 desktop computers for our Jupiter SAS testing center. We are also requesting funds for the upgrade of 2 security cameras, supporting equipment and installation in our Jupiter student testing area to maintain the highest quality level of proctoring ability.
