Narrative
The FAU Boca Raton Campus Library study rooms are heavily used for group and private/quiet study. Each study room is currently equipped with a TV and a wireless accessible AirMedia 100 device. We are proposing to upgrade the AirMedia 100s to AirMedia 200s to facilitate students using Apple computers. The AirMedia 100s are not compatible with Apple OSX 10.12 and up. Newly purchased Apple computers come with 10.13 and will not work with the current AirMedia 100s. Crestrons new AirMedia 200s will work with all new Apple products and have a bypass HDMI input. This input will allow students to plug a HDMI cable directly in which will enhance wired connectivity in the study room. We are also requesting 2 AirMedia 200s for the Harbor Branch Campus Library study rooms. The Libraries ITS Department will work in collaboration with OIT on the pre-configurations the Air Media200s will require.
