Narrative
The College of Business is requesting funds to upgrade OD 102 and 103, our flex collaborative classrooms in building 93, Office Depot Center. This partitioned space is primarily used as a classroom but is one of the few rooms capable of accommodating interactive classes, events, trainings, and meetings. The partition separating the two spaces opens to accommodate large sessions and its modular furniture can be configured in several ways. The facility is a great resource to accommodate requests from not just the college, but the university as well. The current technology in this room has served us for over 8 years, but is now dated and no longer meets the on-going demands of FAU courses and students alike. Funding is hereby requested to modernize the AV equipment to bring this facility to FAU-OIT & College of Business standards. The number of students positively impacted is approximately 880 to 1,000 per semester.

Personnel Costs
There are no personnel costs requested with this proposal. All labor will be done in-house or is included in the AV proposal. Business in conjunction with OIT will work together on this project with no additional personnel costs being requested.
Timeline
Depending upon the fund allocation date and parts availability, the College of Business would like to start and complete this project during the break between the Spring and Summer 2022 semester.
Sustainability
With completion of the proposed project/upgrade in 2022, OD 102 & 103 will be usable for another 4-7 years with minimal adjustments along the way. Business and OIT will work jointly to redistribute current equipment as applicable.
Resource Matching
The College of Business will provide the staff needed to maintain and support the space and the equipment within it. We will work in conjunction with OIT to install and integrate the technology in both classrooms. Should 100% funding not be available, we could potentially look at a joint funding model.
