Narrative

The current system was mostly done on paper which resulted in a thick binder for each student. It is important to move away from this system to a fully online system. The eValue clinical software was developed to meet a growing demand for web-based performance management solutions for medical education programs. Some of the many benefits to students are listed below: • Create electronic portfolios to collect a wide range of student performance data for review with mentors. • Automated reminder notifications for students that are not compliant to program standards. • Automate the Entire Clinical Rotation Scheduling Process so students can easily get the sites they prefer. • Integrated geographic web mapping – students can see physical sites and cross streets. • Ability to track course, site and educator availability. • Easily record and view Case Logs for patient encounters. • Easily record clinical hours on mobile friendly site • Uses Single Sign On (SSO) so students do not have to remember a separate login • Can integrate their clinical schedule to their calendar for easy schedule management. Some of the benefits to the College and faculty for using eValue are below: • Reduce accreditation risks. • Automate reminders and alerts for evaluations, immunization non-compliance, and time tracking violations. • Automate the Entire Clinical Rotation Scheduling Process so it easy to assign students to the sites they prefer. • Ability to communicate with students via this tool. • Total visibility to clinical placements, including compliance with site requirements.
