2024 EECS USB Oscilloscopes The College of Engineering is committed to providing our students with as many technological skills as possible. Not only will this boost the students’ confidence, it will expose them to the type of equipment they will be expected to operate beyond the classroom. This proposal will provide the faculty with the necessary equipment to better prepare the students while simultaneously positioning the students for success in their chosen field(s). Additionally, this equipment is needed to maintain FAU’s ABET accreditation which takes into account equipment relevance. Specifically, we are continuing to upgrade the labs: We are adding more training boards for The electrical engineering core classes EEL 3118 Electronics 1 Lab EEE 4361C Electronics 2 and Lab EEL 4119L Electronics Laboratory 2 We propose to furnish equipment for an additional thirty students per semester. DIGILENT 471-060: PC USB Oscilloscope, Analog Discovery 3 Series, 2 Channel, 30 MHz Including other tools, parts, modules and supplies to support the project. 30 units x $400 = $12,000. The Tech fee request is for $12,000. 471-060 is a Analog Discovery 3, a perfect solution for engineers, students, and hobbyists who need portable digital oscilloscope that can be used for a wide range of projects. This versatile device includes a range of test and measurement tools, including 2-ch oscilloscope, waveform generator, power supply, logic analyzer, waveform generator, pattern generator.
