Narrative
?I teach PSY 3213 Research Methods in Psychology and the Behavioral Sciences and PSY 3213L Lab in Research Methods in Psychology and the Behavioral Sciences. All Psychology students in the Wilkes Honors College are required to take these courses. I would like to teach the students how to use SuperLab software for presenting stimuli and recording participant responses. Superlab is easy to learn and easy to use, but it is very powerful. It will allow students to present any visual and/or auditory stimuli to participants, including pictures, videos, text, and sounds. Superlab can record the response of the participant and also the response time. The timing is accurate to 1 ms. Students will be able to include on their resumes that they are proficient in this software which will enhance their ability to gain admission to graduate school and/or gain employment after graduation. Students will also be able to use SuperLab when conducting their honors thesis work.

Facilities
The computer lab in HC 111 is perfect for the installation of SuperLab Version 5. The computers are already adequate for running the software.
Hardware Requirements
The existing computers in HC 111 are adequate.
Software Requirements
We need 20 copies of the Superlab Pro software to be installed on the computers in HC 111.
Other Costs
?$7,612 for 20 copies of SuperLab Version 5 from Cedrus Corp. at the educational rate. We will own the software, so we can use it for many years.http://cedrus.com/ordering/usa/
Timeline
It would be great if the software could be installed in the next couple of months so that I can teach SuperLab to this year's Honors College psychology students. Once the software is installed it can be used for many years.
Sustainability
FAU will own the software, so FAU students will be able to use it for many years.
