Narrative
This proposal is for the replacement of desktop computers in the Education student computer lab ED335. The computer lab currently has 19 Dell all-in-one computers that we would like to have replaced. We have been having issues with keeping the systems maintained due to the age of the systems and they are now become really slow and starting to show signs of hardware failures. The computing experience in the computer lab is frustrating for those students that are using them. The systems are ~6 years old and have been out of warranty as of May 2013. We estimate the cost to purchase the 19 new Dell all-in-one desktops to be $20,615 which is $1,085 per computer. If these computers are replaced we will ensure the students a reliable and functional computer expierence at our student computer lab.
