This proposal to utilize the technology fee for students to use tablets in admissions and public services related activities, providing a dynamic, technology-rich, interactive dialogue for student engagement and enrollment is directly related to Strategic Plan Goal #5: Building a State of the Art Technology Environment.
The mini iPads will be used so students (prospective/current/applicants/freshmen/transfers can check-in instantaneously at events with thousands attendees such as EXPO, Open House, Campus Day, Information Sessions, and Campus Tours. In addition, this mobility will allow organizers to have access to live attendee data.
The Microsoft Surface Pro4 will also be used at the same events for walk-in registrations, admissions on the spot, 4.Owls (high achieving freshmen).
